Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Toronto, ON(hybrid)
Duration: Long term contract
Rate: CAD50-CAD52/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building backend microservices and modern web applications using Angular or React.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external/internal systems.Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular or React.Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support activities.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Java (8/11/17+).Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and REST APIs.Experience developing Microservices-based applications.Proficiency in Angular OR React.Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.Strong understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and Agile methodologies.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.Exposure to AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth, and Authentication/Authorization frameworks.Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in full-stack application development.Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
