Job Summary We are seeking a Software Engineer with 2-5 years of embedded development experience to support the design, development and test of power conversion system products, from standard components like programmable relays and motor overload protection devices up to large electric drives and multi-megawatt power conversion cabinets with working voltages up to 15kV. What You Will Do Support the analysis of customer requirements and development of internal software requirementsDevelopment of efficient and effective embedded system architectures to support requirementsParticipate in the design, implementation, test/debug and integration of large embedded software subsystemsCoordinate software requirements-based test and support system test activitiesUtilize Python for scripting and automation tasksProvide ongoing maintenance support for released software Education & Experience Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with emphasis on C/C++, or equivalent education and experienceEmbedded Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience developing moderately complex real-time embedded software, with knowledge in DSP, RTOS, and C/C++ programmingDemonstrated capabilities in the design, development, and testing of embedded software products to be used in a high-reliability environmentStrong foundation in standard software development processes/methods and configuration managementMust be a self-starter comfortable with taking responsibility with a significant software design effort and be a champion for his/her designs and productsMust work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills And Knowledge Education/experience with an emphasis on power electronics control softwareExperience developing moderately complex software with multiple software development and verification environments and toolchainsExperience with embedded software related to the use of PWM controllers, A/D and D/A converters, communications interfaces, and hardware driver/board support for electronic devicesWorking knowledge of multi-threaded designs using common real-time operating systemsDevelopment experience utilizing embedded Linux (Yocto, or similar)Experience with VHDL implementation on an FPGA targetKnowledge/experience with TI DSP devices and/or NXP processorsExperience with Matlab SimulinkExperience using git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and JenkinsExperience with automated unit testing, static analysis, and/or automated system-level testingExperience developing military products and familiarity with military specificationsWorking knowledge of DOORS for requirements managementExperience in DO178, DO254 or equivalent quality system U.S. Citizenship required.
