Client: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Work Location: 222 Jarvis St, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Work Arrangement: Onsite Estimated Start Date: August 17, 2026 Estimated End Date: December 31, 2026 Business Days: 108 Hours: 7.25 hours/day Security Level: No Clearance Required Extension: Probable after the initial mandate Role Overview The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with extensive experience in enterprise-level software testing and large-scale IT environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing comprehensive functional and non-functional testing, including manual and automated testing, integration, regression, performance, API, accessibility, security, and user acceptance testing. The role requires strong expertise with test automation, AODA compliance, defect management, CI/CD environments, cloud technologies, databases, and performance testing, along with the ability to work effectively with technical and business teams in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments. organize testing activities for large-scale GUI and non-GUI systemsDevelop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test dataExecute functional, integration, system, regression, acceptance, stress, load, and performance testingConduct system integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Validate system behavior under various conditions and business scenariosIdentify, document, manage, and track software defects through resolutionWork closely with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve defectsDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, Micro Focus/OpenText tools, or PostmanIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelinesConduct API testing and validate backend servicesPerform performance, stress, and load testing and analyze bottlenecks and scalabilityValidate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems and databasesPerform backend, data migration, and data transformation testing where requiredDevelop and manage effective test data strategies while considering privacy and test environment requirementsConduct accessibility testing and ensure compliance with AODA and related standardsCollaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, testing leads, and IT leadsParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectivesMaintain detailed documentation of test results, test coverage, quality metrics, and test evidenceProvide input into user manuals, release notes, and implementation documentationEnsure testing activities comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and QA practicesParticipate in basic security testing and collaborate with security
