Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Hands-On Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer for a 5-month contract supporting a complex enterprise IT environment.
The successful candidate will have experience with NetApp ONTAP storage administration and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
The role is onsite in Delta, BC.
This role will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting critical systems, including storage, virtualization, servers, cloud services, networking, and security platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support NetApp ONTAP storage environments, including configuration, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Skills & Qualifications:
Rack, mount, cable, configure, and test NetApp hardware Administer and maintain NetApp storage environments Patch and maintain Windows servers Support VMware/virtual server environments Perform data migration, cleanup, and legacy data updates Troubleshoot infrastructure and operational issues Support day-to-day IT operations and maintenance activities Assist with on-premises infrastructure projects and upgrades 5-month initial term with potential for extension Target start date and onboarding is mid-September Location is very important.
Preference for candidates living in or near Delta/Ladner due to the hands-on nature of the role and expected on-site presence
Preferred:
NetApp ONTAP Cluster Administration (ONTAP9ADM) training or equivalent experience.
VMware vSphere certification or equivalent enterprise experience.
