About The Role We are seeking an exceptional individual to take technical ownership of a core embedded platform. In this pivotal role, you will delve into the entire software stack, from bootloaders to sophisticated services, leading board bring-up initiatives, defining product architecture, and engineering robust, high-uptime systems for critical field deployments. Your expertise will directly influence the reliability and security of vital infrastructure, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on everyday life. Key Responsibilities Architect secure and maintainable embedded software solutions, leveraging tools and methodologies such as Yocto/OpenEmbedded, U-Boot, and advanced OTA update mechanisms.Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to facilitate seamless board bring-up, configure essential peripherals (including UART, SPI, I²C, and GPIO), and develop robust device drivers.Implement and integrate interfaces for a diverse range of industrial and IoT protocols, such as Modbus, CAN bus, SNMP, MQTT, and TCP/IP.Provide technical leadership, guiding engineering standards, supporting continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows, and mentoring junior embedded engineers to foster a culture of excellence. Must-Have Qualifications What We’re Looking For Strong expertise in Embedded Linux, including hands-on experience with Yocto, OpenEmbedded, U-Boot, and secure Over-The-Air (OTA) update systems.Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.Deep understanding of the Linux device model, device trees, and various hardware interfaces.Proven experience engineering self-recovering, high-uptime systems designed for deployment in remote and challenging environments. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Exposure to Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and microcontrollers.Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.Background in industrial control systems, IoT platforms, or energy/power systems.
