Responsibilities
Design and build agentic platforms and workflows powering backend services — enabling capabilities such as code analysis, code generation, automated review, and autonomous task executionContribute to gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planningServe as a technical leader within the team: mentor fellow engineers, demonstrate technical expertise, and drive solutions to challenging programming and design problemsRoughly 50-70% hands-on codingCreate technical documentation to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teamsWork cross-functionally with various Intuit teams including product management, QA/QE, various product lines, and/or business units to drive resultsDrive continuous improvement with a focus on availability, usability, reusability, performance, maintainability, and cost
Qualifications
8+ years experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applicationsDemonstrated technical leadership: leading design discussions, driving projects end to end, and acting as a go-to technical resource for the teamBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experienceExperience with AI frameworks, agentic workflows, and LLM integration (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic API, LangGraph, CrewAI)Strong experience with any of the following Object-Oriented Languages: Java/J2EE, C#, Python, Go, or similarStrong experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Solid grounding in the software design/architecture process, including distributed systemsTeam player with the ability to be successful in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills to work with multi-functional groups
Preferred Experience
Experience designing and implementing AI agents, multi-agent orchestration, or agent memory/context systemsPrompt engineering experienceExperience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale infrastructure or platform softwareKnowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications and infrastructureContributions to open-source projects or active participation in relevant tech communities

The Expected Base Pay Range For This Position Is
Mountain View $202,500 - $274,000
