About The Role As a Staff Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining our full-stack teleophthalmology platform. You will be responsible for making complex, unclear, or broken systems manageable, ensuring our platform remains fast, reliable, and scalable for international expansion. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports, where you will exercise technical authority by setting architectural direction and engineering best practices. You will work across the entire technology stack—frontend, backend, data, and cloud infrastructure (AWS)—to deliver high-quality, operable, and auditable solutions. Your expertise will drive improvements in testing strategies, tooling, and development processes, enabling the team to deliver features efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, including ISO standards relevant to medical device software.
