Lead Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role Provide technical leadership for the software team, collaborating with architects and guiding implementation. Drive delivery, lead technical decision-making, and act as the visible technical representative of the software team. Develop, debug, test, document, and deploy software enhancements. Ensure adherence to established code review standards and quality gates. Guide system design and development, translating information needs into practical implementation. Mentor and support other engineers, raising technical capability across the team. What You'll Need Extensive software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on delivery using Java (8, 17, 21). Proven experience operating as a technical leader, guiding and mentoring engineers. Strong understanding of API design and implementation. Familiarity with Relational Databases (PostgresSQL), SQL, and JDBC. Demonstrated experience writing unit and integration tests as a normal part of delivery. Familiarity with Agile software development processes and CI/CD concepts.
