Job Description: We’re hiring a Senior Software Developer in Reston VA to work with Cydecor’s MARS Infrastructure Team. As part of the Agile software development team, this role develops solutions mainly using frontend technologies, such as Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript with a good understanding of backend services and data sources. The ideal candidate is familiar with the Agile software development life cycle from user requirement generation to automated tests and deployment. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered. Responsibilities include: Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel missionTroubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issuesProfessionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concernsAnalyze and test programs and products before formal launchCollaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirementsEfficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developersAid and support the coaching and training of other team members to achieve the best collaborative working environmentEnsure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private informationActively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactionsSupport grooming of user stories, breakdown development tasks and estimate level of effort Here’s what you need: 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer developing distributed software applications using modern and open-source technologies and frameworksExperience with frontend technologies, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and AngularExperience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and ArtifactoryExperience with: ESlint, Vuetify, Vue Composition, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack, Axios, VitePress, and or TypeDocDeep understanding and experience developing frontend microservicesStrong understanding and knowledge in API best practicesStrong data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databasesExperience in Agile development technologiesExperience developing secure software systems based upon industry specificationsOutstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in software development supporting DoD and/or ICExperience with frontend unit testing tools, such as Jest, Vitest, and JasmineExperience with Python and JavaExperience working with Webpack 5, Vite, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Keycloak, OAuth2, JWT, etc.Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, ELB, etc.) and AzureFamiliar and used security and code quality tools like SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, and FortifyHas worked in a DevOps model and delivered code through CI/CD pipelinesExperience developing customized code for multiple projects simultaneously Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (must be able to upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Poly) Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent Work Schedule: Hybrid, telework is optional with mandatory onsite days during implementation and testing to support onsite tasks. Must live within commuting distance of Reston. Compensation and Benefits: The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000-190,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
