Front-End Software Engineer

Job Description The Front-End Software Engineer will design and develop complex new software products or make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with significant experience in building modular, reusable components and features. They must have extensive, firsthand technical expertise in a modern front-end framework. They must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities Build reusable components that align with the system design patternsOptimize application for maximum speed and scalability Participate in team design and code reviews Collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to understand business requirements and user experience goals Provide recommendations for continuous improvementProvide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platformsTroubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues Education And Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience8 to 10 years of related software development experience Required Qualifications Extensive experience with AngularExpert knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSSExperience designing complex search interfacesExperience in optimizing web applications for performance and usabilityExperience with integrating with third part APIsProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitExperience with Linux operating systems Desired Qualifications Experience with SASS or LESSHands-on experience working with NodeJS, MongoDBFamiliarity constructing ElasticSearch queries SALARY TRANSPARANCY There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
