Job Description As a Senior Design Engineer, you will build the critical interface where scientists interact with AI reasoning. Balancing 80% frontend and 20% backend, you’ll design in code to make complex agentic workflows legible and trustworthy. You will own the entire UX lifecycle, from initial prototypes to production-grade, high-performance streaming interfaces. What You Will Do Design and ship production-grade UIs that make AI scientific reasoning legible by surfacing provenance, citations, and confidence.Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library that ensures high-quality interaction patterns across the entire platform.Rapidly prototype and iterate on live agent runs, handling partial states and tool calls to ensure AI transparency for scientists. The ideal candidate At least 4 years of professional experience with a frontend focus in React/TypeScript, modern CSS, and performance optimization.Fluent in both Figma and code, with a strong design sensibility for typography, layout, and complex interaction design.Proven track record shipping polished AI or product UIs in high-bar environments like FAANG or top AI labs.
