Client: Province of New Brunswick Work Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick — Remote / Onsite Option Engagement Type: Contract Estimated Start Date: September 21, 2026 Estimated End Date: September 20, 2027 Standard Hours: 7.25 hours/day Business Days: 261 Closing Date/Time: August 27, 2026 at 10:30 AM Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst 3 to support application testing, quality assurance, performance testing, automation, User Acceptance Testing, and system testing initiatives for the Province of New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive test cases, supporting UAT activities, performing functional and non-functional testing, identifying defects, conducting gap analysis, ensuring compliance with government IT policies and security standards, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates should have 10+ years of demonstrated testing and QA experience, strong SQL expertise, experience with performance and automation testing tools, and a strong understanding of QA methodologies and project delivery frameworks. Work Arrangement The successful candidate will have the option to work remotely for the duration of the engagement. Candidates who prefer to work onsite in Fredericton, NB will be provided with office space and resources at HSBC Place for the duration of the engagement. Remote Work Location: Candidates must declare the city and province from which they will perform the remote work. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & TestingComplete QA deliverables as defined within the Deliverable Assessment Framework.Build and maintain repositories of manually executed and automated test cases based on project requirements and change requests.Perform functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing.Ensure application quality aligns with defined scope, requirements, and stakeholder expectations.Review project and release requirements and perform gap analysis.Develop testing and defect reports at the conclusion of each testing cycle.Create and maintain performance testing initiatives while following industry best practices. User Acceptance Testing & Defect ManagementAssist business users with User Acceptance Testing activities.Support the UAT process by working closely with Business Owners.Execute test cases and scripts.Document, report, and track defects through resolution.Participate in quality review sessions and testing-related working groups.Assist other QA resources with testing activities. Technical QA & Application SupportWork with IT resources throughout the design, development, and implementation of IT projects and releases.Apply QA frameworks, testing methodologies, and best practices.Perform advanced SQL activities within a QA environment.Support database upgrades and database comparison activities.Utilize performance, automation, and application security testing tools.Ensure applications meet applicable government IT policies, procedures, and security standards. Security, Privacy & ComplianceApply security principles related to data confidentiality and client privacy.Ensure testing activities consider security requirements associated with databases and application design/development.Support compliance with applicable government IT policies, procedures, and security standards. Documentation, Communication & Knowledge TransferDevelop user documentation and procedures.Communicate regularly with Project and Team Representatives.Attend team status meetings and working group meetings as required.Remain informed about project direction, scope, and context.Assist with training new QA resources.Work with existing QA team members to ensure effective knowledge transfer at the conclusion of the assignment. Availability: Candidate must be available to start work within 2 weeks from the specified SOW start date.
