About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Architect (m/w/d) to join our team in a hybrid work environment based in Düsseldorf, NRW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures for our cloud-based services and applications. You will translate security requirements into practical technical solutions, ensuring that security measures are seamlessly integrated into daily operations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, responding to security incidents, and continuously improving our security posture. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with internal departments and external security partners to develop innovative security strategies aligned with industry standards and best practices. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification with a focus on security. You should have proven experience in cybersecurity, including implementing technical security measures and managing security projects. A thorough understanding of IT security concepts such as network security, cloud security, and identity & access management (IAM) is essential. Familiarity with standards and frameworks like ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz is required, along with practical experience applying these standards in real-world scenarios. Excellent analytical skills, a structured working approach, and a passion for developing practical security solutions are vital. Proficiency in German (very good) and English (good) is necessary to communicate effectively within our diverse team and with external partners. Responsibilities Develop and implement security architectures for modern cloud and application services, ensuring they meet organizational and compliance requirements.Translate security requirements into actionable technical solutions and measures, supporting the deployment and integration of security tools and processes.Participate actively in analyzing and responding to security incidents, providing support during escalations to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz by continuously reviewing and updating security policies and procedures.Contribute to the development and enhancement of Identity & Access Management systems, ensuring secure and efficient user access controls.Collaborate closely with internal teams, external security vendors, and partners to optimize security architecture and implement best practices across all services.Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively enhance our security measures.
