The Associate Software Engineer contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions while continuing to build technical expertise and professional experience.
Engineers at this level are expected to work with increasing independence, own smaller features and enhancements, and actively participate in team collaboration and technical discussions.
What You Will Do
Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support customer and business objectives.Implement features and enhancements with limited supervision.Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issues.Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts.Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and delivery activities.Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of modern development practices.
What You Will Bring
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.Two or more years of software development experience.Experience building and maintaining software applications.Understanding of software engineering principles and development practices.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-native technologies and modern development frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.Experience supporting federal government programs.Relevant technical certifications.
