This position will support the Bank’s cloud-based systems and infrastructure within the Information Technology department. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions and work proactively to diagnose problems and provide recommendations for new and existing cloud-based systems. Accountabilities: Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks: Administer, configure, and maintain the Bank’s Microsoft cloud services and other cloud-based solutions used by the Bank.Ensure system backups and recovery using cloud-based solutions.Manage and plan project work related to platform upgrades, patches, and modifications to services as needed.Evaluate the Bank’s cloud services utilized by the Bank, to understand how they integrate with infrastructure services.Design integration of cloud application and infrastructure services into existing IT systems.Implement and manage cloud security controls, identity and access management policies.Secure systems to meet corporate standards and best practices.Participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery processes and procedures.Develop scripts for configuration management automation and process improvements.Support existing applications and projects by responding to incidents, problems, and service requests.Participate in research and recommend new cloud technologies to meet the Bank’s business objectives.Operate in accordance with the Bank’s control processes and comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures.Manage administrative tasks.Crosstrain others on the team as requested.Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-based system issues, involving third-party vendor support as needed for quick resolution of problems.Develop and maintain infrastructure-based procedures related to Microsoft cloud services and other cloud-based solutions used by the Bank.Consulted in the development of IT roadmaps around infrastructure and cloud services; understand and convey potential impact to Bank services and architecture.Develop and implement performance metrics and monitoring to report on cloud configurations, performance, and security baselines. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.5-7 years’ experience in cloud engineering or a related role.Experience engineering and administrating enterprise backup/restore solutions, web servers, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and/or other enterprise cloud services.Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (ex. AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with Microsoft Azure.Experience with scripting languages and automation tools is desired.Knowledge of networking, databases, and storage solutions in cloud environments.Ability to make effective and informed decisions using own initiative and based upon a sound understanding of the issues and challenges of the organization.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform.Understanding of EntraID.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as interpersonal skills.Effective in a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks.Ability to positively engage with others and possess a strong desire to learn.Results-oriented and self-motivated Compensation Range: Annual Salary: $102,210.00 - $121,374.00 This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
