Senior Software Engineer / Lead Engineer Location: Toronto, ON, Canada Onsite or Remote: Onsite 3 days in office Interview rounds: 2 rounds Senior Software Engineer / Lead Engineer – .NET/C# Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned .NET/C# Engineer with strong backend development expertise and the ability to quickly understand, enhance, and scale existing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically strong, and capable of driving design and development initiatives independently. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET.Analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance existing codebases and systems.Build and support REST APIs and microservices.Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices. Required Skills 8+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and MicroservicesSQL Server and Entity FrameworkObject-Oriented Design, SOLID Principles, and Design PatternsAzure or AWS cloud experienceGit, CI/CD, Docker, and KubernetesStrong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Identity & Access Management (IAM)OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAMLEntra ID (Azure AD), Okta, Auth0, or IdentityServerExperience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot) Qualification Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldExcellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
