Backend Developer (W2 Contract only/ No 3rd Parties)

Role: Backend Developer Location: Irving, TX Pay Rate: $70/hr on W2 Duration: 1 Year Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and operate integrations between client and third-party MarTech/ad-tech vendors (retail media, in-store media, audience activation, measurement)Build and maintain REST/event-driven APIs (read, push, pull) and batch and streaming data feeds into and out of the enterprise data lake and activation platformsDevelop business-friendly interfaces and tooling on top of the orchestration layer so marketers and analysts can operate without engineering involvementPartner with the data platform, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to land, secure, and govern external data (e.g., cross-account ingestion, data contracts, schema validation)Translate vendor API contracts and data specs into reliable, well-tested, production-ready servicesLeverage AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery without sacrificing qualityDeliver on time with a high bar on reliability, data quality, and engineering craft Qualifications: 5+ years building backend services and APIs (Node.js, Spring/Java, Python, or similar)3 years minimum integrating third-party/vendor APIs and data feeds, including authentication patterns (OAuth, IAM roles, cross-account access)3 years minimum (5 years would be nice) with data pipelines and stores — SQL and NoSQL, batch and streaming (e.g., Kafka/Kinesis, Auto Loader, COPY INTO)3 years minimum with cloud services architXX (S3, IAM, serverless functions, compute); experience with Databricks / lakehouse patterns a strong plusFamiliarity with containerized tooling and deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)Ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including non-technical business partnersExceptional troubleshooting skills across distributed, multi-vendor systems Nice To Have: Working knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) sufficient to build internal/business-facing toolingBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science / Engineering / Math, or relevant experience
