About the Opportunity The Software Engineer independently owns and executes feature development while building APIs that solve customer problems. This role helps ensure the organization’s core infrastructure remains efficient, scalable, and reliable while supporting current product needs and future growth. The position contributes to maintaining internal capabilities and machine learning systems that deliver meaningful value to customers and the broader engineering team. Responsibilities • Develop infrastructure, data models, and product features to build APIs and maintain the codebase. • Design and implement solutions that address customer needs and technical challenges. • Write well-designed, testable code focused on efficiency, scalability, and reliability. • Develop software testing and validation procedures and maintain supporting documentation. • Ensure core internal capabilities, infrastructure, and machine learning systems meet customer and team requirements. • Analyze and design systems with strong consideration for observability, service-level agreements, scalability, and operational reliability. • Independently manage backend projects while maintaining high standards for code quality and maintainability. • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to evaluate technical approaches and deliver reliable solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. • Proficiency with AWS, PostgreSQL, and Node.js. • Hands-on experience with TypeGraphQL, Apollo/Express, PostgreSQL hosted on Amazon RDS, ClickHouse, React, and AWS infrastructure. • Ability to independently manage large backend projects while maintaining strong code quality. • Effective communication and collaboration skills within engineering teams. • Sound technical judgment with an emphasis on stable, supported technologies over short-lived trends. • Strong focus on developing simple, elegant solutions driven by customer needs. Pay Range and Compensation Package • Base salary range: $87,600–$186,000 annually. • Total compensation may include base salary, bonus, and equity value. • Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
