Platform Engineer (AWS / DevSecOps) Leeds – Hybrid (3 days per week) Tech stack: AWS, Terraform/OpenTofu, Kubernetes/EKS, Linux, Python, CI/CD, Prometheus/Grafana 60k - 75k (Mid level) 75k - 90k (Senior level) Immersum is partnering with a high growth sports technology business to hire a Mid and Senior level Platform Engineer, helping build and secure a globally distributed AWS platform powering latency sensitive sports data services. This is a hands on opportunity for a Mid & Senior Platform Engineer to work across AWS infrastructure, DevSecOps, networking, security and platform modernisation. The Role: Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofuWork across networking, compute, IAM and data servicesImprove cloud security, secrets management and access controlsBuild and maintain CI/CD and developer toolingSupport Kubernetes/EKS and containerised workloadsImprove monitoring, alerting and observabilityModernise legacy infrastructure and bring it under Infrastructure as CodeSupport engineering teams with platform and deployment challenges What they’re looking for: Strong commercial AWS experienceSolid networking fundamentals including VPCs, routing, NAT, DNS and security groupsStrong Linux administration skillsHands-on Terraform/OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code experiencePractical Git and CI/CD experiencePython or similar scripting experienceExperience with monitoring and alerting toolsStrong security mindset and understanding of DevSecOps practices Nice to have: AWS security tooling such as GuardDuty, Security Hub and IAM Access AnalyzerKubernetes/EKS and containersSecrets management and SSOZero-trust networkingThreat modelling and incident responseExperience migrating infrastructure to IaCExperience working with large-scale, globally distributed platforms Please note you must have full right to work for this role.
