Java Backend Developer

Job Overview We are looking for a Full-Time (FTE) Java Backend Developer with strong BPM/workflow experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and workflow-driven business processes. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, or BPM/workflow platforms, along with the ability to build and support enterprise-grade backend solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.Develop and integrate BPM/workflow solutions for business processes.Work with BPMN, process orchestration, workflow rules, and task management.Integrate BPM workflows with backend services, databases, and external systems.Troubleshoot performance, integration, and production issues.Participate in architecture/design discussions and code reviews.Write unit/integration tests and ensure code quality.Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and other engineering teams.Follow Agile development practices and CI/CD processes. Required Skills 6+ years of experience in Java backend developmentStrong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring FrameworkStrong experience developing REST APIs and MicroservicesExperience with BPM/workflow platforms such as:CamundaPegaAppianIBM BPM / BAWjBPMFlowableUnderstanding of BPMN 2.0 and workflow/process orchestrationStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle/PostgreSQLExperience with Kafka or other messaging technologies is preferredExperience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD is a plusGood understanding of Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing event-driven and distributed systemsExperience integrating BPM platforms with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise applicationsCloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCPKnowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks such as OAuth2/JWTStrong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
