Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Platform team.
This role focuses on building and operating the foundations that power our products: cloud and on-prem infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, observability, CI/CD systems, and automation.
The must-haves are experience running Kubernetes, working with infrastructure as code (Terraform experience preferred), and being willing to participate in on-call.
Beyond that, we know this role spans a wide range of technologies, and we don’t expect you to check every box.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow here.
What You'll Do:
Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS in AWS, k0s for on prem).Apply an automation-first mindset using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible, executed via GitHub Actions.Participate in our on-call rotation and help improve reliability.
Identify root causes and prevent issues from recurring.Operate global colocation environments, including networking, storage, compute, and Proxmox virtualization.Support and improve our CI/CD platform (GitHub Actions):Partner with teams on CI/CD integrations.Maintain a repository of shared GitHub Actions.Operate self-hosted runners.Build and maintain tooling (primarily written in Go) that streamlines workflows and improves reliability.Operate and fine tune our observability and alerting stack (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki), including maintaining alerting rules, alert routing, and dashboards.Collaborate across teams to design scalable, secure, and observable systems.Collaborate with the security team to support audit readiness, security scanning, and infrastructure hardening.
What We're Looking For:
Strong experience running Kubernetes (not just using it as a developer).Hands-on with infrastructure as code (Terraform experience preferred).Cloud experience (AWS preferred).Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions preferred; GitLab CI or similar also fine).Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, with a pragmatic approach to reliability and alerts.A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn new systems.Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Proxmox, is highly valued for our colocation environments.Experience with observability and alerting stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki).
Nice to Have:
Colocation infrastructure: BGP, physical networking, Ceph storage.Building and maintaining Go tooling for platform engineering.Networking (routing, firewalls) and distributed storage.Familiarity with compliance-driven infrastructure practices (audit logging, access controls, pentest support).
Why Join:
Work across diverse environments: AWS cloud and colocation facilities around the world.Learn technologies you may not have touched yet (networking, Proxmox, Ceph, Go tooling).Help shape how infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer platforms are designed and operated, not just maintain them.Be part of a team that values root cause analysis, automation-first thinking, and engineering for quiet, reliable operations.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - 190,000.
Benefits:
Work with a remote team of engineers and cryptographers around the globeCompetitive salaryHealth insurance for US based employeesFlexible work hoursOpportunities for professional growth and development
