Description

Position Overview We are seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, highly available, and automated cloud platforms that enable enterprise engineering teams to deliver applications efficiently. The role will focus on cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Kubernetes, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, automation, reliability, and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise and the ability to solve complex infrastructure and operational challenges in large-scale cloud environments. The Platform Engineer will work closely with Software Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Operations, QA, and Product teams to improve developer experience, platform reliability, automation, security, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Crossplane, Helm, and/or CloudFormation.Design and support highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.Implement automated deployment, release, and infrastructure management processes with a focus on zero-downtime deployments.Develop reusable platform services, automation frameworks, and self-service capabilities to improve developer productivity.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and production systems.Implement observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, and Datadog.Integrate security controls, IAM, compliance requirements, and DevSecOps practices throughout infrastructure and deployment pipelines.Identify opportunities to eliminate operational toil through automation, scripting, AI-assisted solutions, and agentic workflows.Improve platform scalability, reliability, performance, availability, and cloud cost efficiency.Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and product teams to define platform architecture, standards, and technical priorities.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues and implement long-term corrective solutions.Evaluate emerging cloud-native and DevOps technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.Develop technical documentation covering architecture, platform standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting processes.Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement.Participate in a 12-hour on-call rotation to support production environments.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.3โ€“10 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly Terraform.Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting/programming languages.Hands-on experience with CI/CD and GitOps technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, IAM, and distributed systems.Experience implementing DevOps automation and improving software delivery processes.Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production incident-management skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and business teams.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions, architecture, and complex infrastructure concepts clearly.Preferred Qualifications Experience with Crossplane, Helm, or CloudFormation.Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog.Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, IAM, and DevSecOps practices.Experience supporting large-scale cloud-native or SaaS platforms.Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.Experience implementing platform engineering, developer self-service, or internal developer platforms.Experience with AI-assisted development, automation frameworks, or agentic workflows.Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
