Job DescriptionABOUT US: The Audiovisual team at Sportradar is responsible for the end-to-end stack of our video streaming products. The team delivers high-quality live sports video and streaming solutions, ensuring reliable ingest, production, distribution, analytics and monitoring of sporting events for customers worldwide for more than 3.500 live sports events per day, for millions of streaming sessions, and for 100+ TB of streaming video several days a week. Since our start in 2013, our Audiovisual products in Sportradar have grown on a global scale and to become a substantial streaming platform, where we stream everything from NBA/WNBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, German Bundesliga, PGA Tour, ESL CS:GO, PDC to Beach Volleyball, Badminton Europe and Table Tennis, for millions of sports fans every day. THE CHALLENGE: The Audiovisual Unit in Sportradar develops video players, stream inspection tools, video processing and delivery platform, streaming analytics backend systems, content management systems, internal web interfaces and maintains customer-facing portals. You will be working in an experienced and highly competent team of developers responsible for the entire lifecycle of feature development, support, and modernization of the streaming analytics and BI data in the Sportradar Audiovisual technical platform. Our services are live 24/7 and serve very large audiences of end-users. The engineering teams work closely with our AV operations team to deliver our sports content portfolio successfully to our clients. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in, or fascination with, working with large datasets. You will participate in all steps from receiving raw logs to delivering high-quality and deep analytics, leading the team of engineers, and developing the backend that extracts all insights from our content consumption. You are very familiar with SQL and/or analytical or relational databases, and you are an experienced developer in Java programming language. You will have many opportunities for working with data models and big data. The job will include tasks like prototyping, developing proof-of-concept tools, and developing production-ready software. You will be able to influence technologies to be introduced in our product components along with developing and maintaining existing products. You will be a team player in the Trondheim team and work closely also with other offices like Oslo, Vienna, Munich and Warsaw. We appreciate if you are interested in online video services development and related technologies. You will participate in the system architecture design, development, integration testing and deployments as a senior engineer. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and structure large datasets represented in our cloud data warehouse Work with a modern stack: Java 25, Spring Boot 4, EKS, MySQL and analytical databases - Redshift, ClickHouse. Make use of and actively explore the use of AI in our Software Development Lifecycle Manage the entire chain by aggregating data from raw logs, representing data in our cloud data warehouse, aggregating data into reports and delivering analytics data internally and externally. Be responsible for the architecture, observability, security, and performance of our software stack for streaming analytics. Lead the team of developers in our AV Analytics squad and work closely with the internal product team Develop cloud-native applications with an innovative mindset together with the team of engineers Work daily with tools like Cursor, Gitlab and JIRA A strong opportunity to influence the design and technology ABOUT YOU: Master's or bachelor's degree in software development Excellent knowledge of the Java programming language and being familiar with frameworks like Spring and Kubernetes Experience in working with AWS products and services, especially Redshift, S3, Aurora, EKS and ElastiCache.
