Their software is already used daily by research teams at several of the world's largest pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, and the business is growing quickly. Founded 2023 :25 people Industry: AI / Software / Life Sciences The Role You will build foundational product systems end-to-end as the team scales its core platform to meet enterprise demand. This is greenfield work across the full stack with real ownership from concept through production. What You'll Be Doing Build new features and systems from scratch across frontend and backendDesign and own scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelinesShip quickly in fast sprint cycles, reaching production earlyPartner with engineers, product, design, and applied-science colleagues to turn complex workflows into intuitive softwareOwn features end-to-end through production, iteration, and scale Tech stack: Python, Django, React, GraphQL, AWS Requirements Substantial professional experience in full-stack or backend engineering (excluding internships)A track record of building products at early-stage or high-growth startups, ideally as a founder or early employeeDemonstrated experience shipping and owning production systems used by real customersExperience designing scalable systems, databases, and data-intensive applicationsStrong hands-on proficiency with modern frameworks, especially Python and ReactExperience building backend services and REST APIs (Django a plus)A BS in Computer Science, a STEM field, or an equivalent technical backgroundIntellectually curious, positive, and collaborative, and comfortable working in-person in a high-communication teamBased in or willing to relocate to San Francisco and work on-site 4–5 days a week Nice to Haves Familiarity with GraphQL and cloud infrastructure such as AWSGenuine interest in life sciences, drug discovery, or computational biology Why Join Build greenfield products that enterprise customers are already paying for, with true end-to-end ownershipJoin a small, fast-growing engineering team with clear near-term paths toward tech-lead and management rolesWork on technically deep problems at the intersection of AI and scientific research Details Location: San Francisco, CAWork policy: On-site, 4–5 days/weekCompensation: $175,000–$270,000 + 0.2–0.6% equityVisa sponsorship: Open to visa transfers (e.g. OPT, H-1B transfers)Employment type: Full-time
