Location: Șoseaua Pipera 43, Bucharest, Romania Work model: Hybrid theMarketer is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable backend systems for a modern, high-volume platform. What you’ll do Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using PHP and Laravel;Write clean, testable, and maintainable object-oriented code;Contribute to technical and architectural decisions using Domain-Driven Design principles;Build and maintain asynchronous workflows using message queues such as RabbitMQ or Amazon SQS;Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases;Write automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliability;Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and development practices;Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle;Support other team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance. What we’re looking for Strong professional experience with PHP and the Laravel ecosystem;Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles;Experience designing or working with Domain-Driven Design architectures;Hands-on experience with message queues;Strong knowledge of SQL databases and familiarity with NoSQL technologies;Experience writing automated tests;Ability to make sound technical decisions and take ownership of complex backend projects;A focus on clean, reliable, and maintainable code. Nice to have Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;Exposure to AWS services;Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines;Experience working with high-traffic or distributed systems.
