Detailed Job Description: The Software Developer will support various healthcare data projects within the Center for Health Data Innovation (CHDI).
CHDI is responsible for data collection and data warehousing for several major systems, including the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) and the All-Payer Database (APD).
The SPARCS system has been in operations since 1982, collecting data from 400+ facilities, bringing in 40+ million discharge-level transactions a year, and warehouses 40+ calendar years of data.
The All-Payer Database (APD) system has been in operations since 2018, collecting data from 80+ insurers, bringing in 800+ million claim-level transactions a year and warehouses at present 7 calendar years of data.
The data content integrity and operations of these systems is critical to the day-to-day operations and management of health care facilities, health care programs, public and private health insurance products; and research on health care services, outcomes, and cost.
