Role Summary As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of cutting-edge web applications by building robust automation frameworks for Generative AI systems. You will work closely with Product Managers, engineers, and data scientists to design scalable test automation (using Playwright/Cypress) for UI and APIs, ensuring reliable and secure user experiences. Responsibilities: Automation Framework & Test Engineering: Design, build, and maintain a scalable test automation framework (Playwright/Cypress) for UI, API (REST), and complex end-to-end user flowsGen AI Quality: Develop innovative test strategies for our AI features, focusing on response accuracy/relevance, bias detection, prompt injection vulnerabilities, and intelligently handling non-deterministic outputsProcess & Collaboration: Proactively analyze quality processes, conduct risk analysis, and work closely with PMs, engineers, and data scientists to embed quality and preventative measures from the startPerformance & Monitoring: Develop methods to measure product performance, focusing on key metrics like AI model response times and production stabilityMentorship: Act as a leader and mentor for fellow team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement Requirements Competencies: Knowledge: Must Have skills (required)Deep knowledge of API testing principles and tools (e.g., Postman)Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelinesProficiency in Git for version controlExpertise in JavaScript or TypeScriptNice To Have skills (Preferred)Knowledge of Generative AI or Machine Learning concepts (e.g., model evaluation, prompt engineering)Understanding of testing non-deterministic systems (handling variable outputs)Skills and Experience: Must-Have Technical Skills5+ years of professional experience in frontend developmentStrong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScriptExpert-level experience with React (Hooks, Context API, component optimization, React 19)Experience with modern state management tools: Redux Toolkit, Zustand etcAbility to design scalable frontend architectureHands-on experience with Tailwind CSSSolid understanding of HTML5 / CSS3, responsive and cross-browser developmentExperience integrating REST APIsFamiliarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, SWC, esbuild)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and code review best practicesNice-To-Have Technical SkillsExperience with 2d canvas frameworks like KonvaKey ResponsibilitiesArchitecting and implementing new frontend featuresImproving performance, usability, and accessibility across the productParticipating in technical planning and architectural decisionsConducting code reviews and maintaining high engineering standardsAny other General requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceCommunication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly to diverse, multinational teamsSoft Skills:Strong decision-making skills and ability to justify technical choicesHigh level of independence and ownershipAttention to detail and commitment to code quality Benefits At CloudFactory, we believe that work should be more than just a job—it should be a platform for growth, impact, and community.
