Role Summary
Experienced Wintel, VMware and Azure Infrastructure Engineer responsible for Level 3 support across enterprise Windows Server, VMware and hybrid cloud environments.
This role is suited to an experienced infrastructure engineer who can operate across Windows, VMware, Disaster Recovery and Microsoft Azure environments.
The position provides Level 3 technical support and contributes to infrastructure transformation, cloud migration and Disaster Recovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 3 support for enterprise Windows Server and VMware environments.Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter, ensuring availability and performance.Perform VMware patching, upgrades, remediation and lifecycle management.Support Windows Server builds, configuration, patching and troubleshooting.Provide hands-on support for VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities.Troubleshoot infrastructure across on-premises VMware and Wintel, as well as Microsoft Azure environments.Support hybrid cloud infrastructure and Azure workload migrations where required.Contribute to infrastructure optimisation, best practices and continuous improvement.Maintain technical documentation, procedures and operational standards.Apply exposure to Azure CLI, ARM, Bicep or Terraform where applicable.Collaborate effectively with technical teams, customers and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.6+ years of relevant infrastructure experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and VMware technologies.Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise environments.Experience working within ITIL, change and incident management processes.Strong communication, teamwork and stakeholder-management skills.
Desirable Qualifications And Experience
VMware VCP or VCF certification.Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or equivalent certification.Experience with VMware SRM, vSAN, HA, DRS and vMotion.Experience with Azure VMs, networking, storage, monitoring and Entra ID.PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, Terraform or other automation experience.
