Senior Full Stack Engineer

Our client is a rapidly scaling technology company building a sophisticated platform at the intersection of fintech, payments, and digital consumer products. As the business expands, engineering is responsible for developing the infrastructure, services, and product capabilities that enable the platform to operate reliably at scale. As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of critical application infrastructure with a primary focus on backend development. You’ll design and implement scalable services, APIs, integrations, and data systems while also contributing across the frontend when projects require end-to-end product development. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the software lifecycle and taking meaningful ownership of complex technical problems. You’ll work closely with backend, frontend, mobile, and product teams, contribute to architectural direction, and help build systems that can support continued growth in both users and transaction volume. You’ll have the opportunity to work on production systems where engineering decisions have a direct impact on the product, with significant responsibility for taking projects from technical design through launch and ongoing optimization. What You'll Own Architect, develop, and operate scalable backend services and APIs powering core customer and transactional workflows.Lead features and technical projects from initial requirements and system design through deployment and production ownership.Build and maintain integrations connecting core platform capabilities with external systems and services.Shape backend architecture, data models, and technical patterns as the platform continues to scale.Partner with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver complete product functionality across the stack.Identify and address opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.Establish and maintain effective testing, monitoring, and operational practices for production-critical systems.Participate in code reviews, technical planning, sprint execution, incident response, and broader engineering initiatives.Serve as a technical owner for backend initiatives, driving projects forward while maintaining high standards for code quality and system design. What We're Looking For 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial backend development experience.Strong experience building and operating production applications with Python; Django experience is highly preferred.Experience designing RESTful APIs, data models, and scalable services using PostgreSQL and AWS.Familiarity with modern frontend development, particularly TypeScript and React.Background working with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and highly available production applications.Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects from technical concept through production deployment.Strong engineering judgment and an interest in architecture, scalability, and long-term system design.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
