Description
We are looking for a Staff Frontend Platform Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join a frontend platform team.
This is a high-impact individual contributor leadership role for an engineer who has built and scaled design systems or shared component libraries across multiple product teams.
You will own the design system, shared component libraries, and frontend tooling that product engineers build on top of.
The role requires strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, engineering standards, and the ability to coach senior engineers.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve a cross-platform design system across web (React) and mobile (React Native), including design tokens, theming, accessibility, and internationalization/RTL.Drive delivery of a mobile design system, including building components, migrating existing patterns, and establishing the React Native foundation.Establish and enforce frontend engineering standards through RFCs, working groups, and architectural decisions.Integrate AI-assisted and agentic developer tooling into frontend workflows, including LLM-powered developer experience and component-library integrations.Lead frontend modernization initiatives, including React upgrades, TypeScript standardization, and Vite/build-tool migrations.Improve developer experience across CI/CD, linting, type safety, code generation, and platform health metrics.Coach and mentor senior engineers while partnering closely with design, product, and engineering stakeholders.Collaborate with backend engineers on GraphQL APIs and make targeted changes to Python services when required to support platform initiatives.
