🚀 We’re Hiring: Backend Engineer | Satellite Technology | Location: Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Washington, DC **Experience in aerospace or satellite technology is not required. If you can build reliable cloud software, the space side can be taught. I’m partnering with a fast-growing space technology company that is transforming how satellites are operated through modern, cloud-native software. We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to develop scalable ground-satellite operations software using Python and AWS. You’ll join a small, high-impact engineering team building APIs, integrating cloud services and helping operate hundreds—and eventually thousands—of satellites more efficiently. What you’ll be doing: • Developing backend applications and APIs using Python • Integrating AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Fargate, EKS and Lambda • Building secure, scalable and high-performing cloud infrastructure • Working with GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform • Contributing to generative AI integrations, DevSecOps and CI/CD tooling • Collaborating with frontend engineers, backend engineers and product managers • Helping shape software architecture within a fast-moving startup environment What we’re looking for: • 3+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience • Strong Python and AWS experience • Experience designing, integrating and troubleshooting APIs • Knowledge of containers, infrastructure as code and cloud deployments • Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab development workflows • A self-starting mentality and high standards for software quality, resilience and performance • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred **Experience in aerospace or satellite technology is not required. If you can build reliable cloud software, the space side can be taught. Eligibility: Candidates must meet U.S. Person/ITAR requirements and be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
