Application Developer (Java/PHP)

For our client in Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Application Developer - Java/PHP. This role involves developing and maintaining critical applications, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and supporting operational excellence. Project Duraction: 01.09.2026 for 6 months with the option of extension/internalization Your Tasks: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and PHPCreate and optimize SQL queries and database structures for high-performance systemsDevelop and manage APIs for internal and external integrationsAdminister and troubleshoot Linux-based environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT solutionsProvide on-call support during agreed evenings and weekends to ensure system availabilityParticipate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes Your Profile: Proven experience in Java and PHP developmentStrong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database designHands-on experience with API development and integrationProficiency in Linux OS administrationProficiency in DevOps & efficient pipeline management is a plusFamiliarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Ability to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsWillingness to provide on-call support during evenings/weekends as per scheduleFluent in English, German and French is a plus
