Our challenge We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a global team of engineers for our banking client in Montreal. The Role: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities: Work on automation and configuration as code for foundational architecture related to connectivity across multiple Cloud service providersStrong background in infrastructure and Public Cloud technologiesResponsible for connecting complex, multi-tier applications from on-prem to the Public CloudWork closely with Product Management and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectationsRequirements: Experience in any of the following cloud service providers – Azure / AWS (Preference is Azure).Experience in Kubernetes and Container-based technologiesSound experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)Develop tooling and self-service capabilitiesStrong development skills in Python, Java or GolangSound experience in scripting language such as shell scriptingExperience in leading development in projects in distributed enterprise environments.Experience of setting up a new development project using modern tools and practices including git, Jenkins, test-driven development, and continuous integration in a Linux-based environmentSound knowledge of infrastructure and cloud computingAbility to mentor and develop more Jr. programmers, including participating in constructive code reviewsCollaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience.Strong software design knowledge/skills with SDLC experiencePreferred, but not required: 3+ years of experience in working in Azure / AWS / GCPWorking with teams using Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile practicesProficiency with standard Linux command line and debugging toolsExperience of working with RESTful APIs, especially to manage, configure, compute, and storage infrastructureKnowledge of how to write comprehensive unit tests, including the mocking of external utilities and APIsKnowledge of Typescript, Golang, NoSQL will be an added advantageLocated in Montreal for hybrid work modelWe can offer you A multinational organization with 57 offices in 22 countries and the possibility to work abroad 15 days (3 weeks) of paid annual leave plus an additional 10 days of personal leave (floating days and sick days)A comprehensive insurance plan including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long term disabilityFlexible hybrid policy to fit your schedule RRSP with employer’s contribution up to 4% SYNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
