Are you an experienced PCV, HGV or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking to join a modern, well-equipped workshop where your skills are recognised and rewarded? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading passenger transport operator for skilled and motivated technicians to join their engineering team in Reading. The Role As a PCV/HGV Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a fleet of buses and coaches are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards. Working within a professional engineering team, you'll carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections to keep vehicles operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PCV and HGV vehicles.Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.Record work completed accurately using digital workshop systems.Ensure all work complies with health & safety and DVSA standards.Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to maximise fleet availability. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a PCV, HGV, LGV, Truck or Heavy Vehicle Technician.NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle or PSV Maintenance or a minimum of five years' relevant heavy vehicle maintenance experience.Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Good understanding of vehicle maintenance standards and workshop procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A PCV licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
