For one of our international clients, we are currently looking for Android Developer in Utrecht. As an Android Developer, you’ll be crucial in building and maintaining the native shell foundation that supports our hybrid mobile banking app. This platform serves numerous teams, processes thousands of requests per second, and ensures seamless integration of Android functionalities. Responsibilities Your role is key in advancing our digital transformation.You'll develop the native shell that hosts non-native content, enabling feature teams to build effectively.Your work will influence many developers, ensuring high accessibility standards and optimal app performance.You’ll engage closely with other teams. In a dynamic environment with frequent discussions, you need to be decisive, confidently make decisions, and structure and mediate discussions effectively.Adaptability to different personalities and strong leadership will be essential. You’ll also assist teams in optimizing their code to work with the native shell. Requirements Technical Proficiency: Advanced Kotlin knowledge.Expertise in TDD, Unit Tests, Espresso, and UI Automator.Experience with CI/CD tools and build processes.Understanding of design patterns (MVC, MVVM) and architectural patterns.Experience with WebView and app performance optimization.Decisiveness and Leadership: Confident in making informed decisions.Ability to guide discussions, mediate conflicts, and lead by example.Proactive in driving decisions that enhance code quality and performance.Collaboration: Strong communication skills, adept at mediation and adaptation.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices. Offer Contract: Secondment (Detachment) – 12 months, with the possibility of extensionSalary discussable based on experience.Working hours: Salary based on a 40-hour work weekLanguage: English or DutchHybrid: 1–2 days per week in the office, including 1 fixed office day.
