We currently have a role as a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer - Investment Banking with our large consulting client on a long term project with a major investment banking client in the downtown Montreal area. Role: Senior DevOps Platform Engineer - Investment Banking Type: Permanent 37.5 hrs/week Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + 9% bonus + 3-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP matching + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks Senior DevOps Platform Engineer - Investment Banking Position Overview We are seeking an experienced CI/CD Platform Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise Software Factory services and tools. The successful candidate will ensure the stability and availability of CI/CD platforms, support application teams in adopting DevOps best practices, and contribute to the ongoing evolution and automation of the platform. This role operates within an international Follow-the-Sun (FTS) support model and requires strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills. Key Responsibilities Platform Support & Adoption Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of Software Factory services and tools.Maintain platform service levels in accordance with established SLAs within a Follow-the-Sun support model.Operate services in compliance with organizational security policies and standards.Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incidents, service disruptions, and planned releases.Assist application teams with the adoption of CI/CD best practices.Provide technical support and guidance for teams using enterprise CI/CD tools.Act as the regional AMER CI/CD tools subject-matter expert.Platform Development & Continuous Improvement Develop prototypes and conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs) for new technologies and tools.Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CI/CD tools and environments.Identify opportunities to reduce support workload through automation and chatbot solutions.Contribute to the evolution of the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud platform.Define and implement platform monitoring and performance metrics, including:Service Level Objectives (SLOs)Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Service Level Indicators (SLIs)Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements to reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Create and maintain technical documentation for CI/CD tools and services.Develop and continuously improve internal support procedures and processes.Promote proper tool usage and CI/CD platform best practices.Share technical knowledge with application and infrastructure teams.Participate in internal Test and Deployment community activities.Provide technical guidance and expertise to regional and global teams.Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience working with Software Factory, DevOps, or CI/CD tools in a development or administration capacity.Strong experience supporting enterprise CI/CD environments.Ability to work independently and lead technical meetings with users and stakeholders.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across complex technical environments.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, track progress, and communicate risks or delays effectively.Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Client-focused approach with a strong commitment to supporting application and development teams.Ability to collaborate effectively within a global and multicultural team environment.
