Full Stack Engineer (Back-End Focus) On-site in Los Angeles, CA Our client is building sophisticated engineering software where computation, complex data, and real-world technical constraints come together. They are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer with a strong back-end orientation to help turn an evolving technical platform into dependable production software. Focus Build and own reliable Python services and APIs supporting a computationally intensive engineering product.Take prototype and internal software into production, adding the testing, maintainability, and reliability required for sustained use.Design durable API contracts, service boundaries, and integrations that other engineering teams can use confidently.Develop data models and storage approaches for complex technical information, emphasizing traceability and reproducible results.Structure, schedule, and scale compute-heavy workloads supporting simulation, optimization, and other demanding engineering processes.Work across the stack when needed, connecting back-end capabilities with front-end workflows and helping the overall product evolve cohesively.Create automated service and integration testing that increases release confidence and protects business-critical workflows.Collaborate with infrastructure and security specialists so application software moves effectively through established deployment and security processes.Help define the architecture of a growing platform while converting complex technical concepts into maintainable production systems. Skill Set 6+ years of experience developing production back-end systems, including strong hands-on Python expertise.Strong full-stack engineering capability with a clear back-end focus and the ability to work through APIs into front-end functionality when necessary.Deep experience designing, developing, and hardening APIs and services relied upon by other teams or applications.Demonstrated success moving prototypes, research software, or internal tools into production environments with meaningful reliability requirements.Strong understanding of data modeling and storage architecture for complex applications.Experience scheduling, scaling, or otherwise managing computationally intensive workloads.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities with careful attention to software quality.Ability to work effectively in an on-site, highly collaborative engineering environment in Los Angeles.Ability and willingness to satisfy applicable eligibility requirements for work involving sensitive or controlled environments.Preferred Experience Experience with computational engineering software, simulation platforms, design automation, product lifecycle systems, or similarly technical domains.Exposure to numerical computing, scientific computing, optimization, or other computation-heavy applications.Experience converting research-oriented or experimental software into maintainable production systems.Interest in solving software challenges connected to aerospace, advanced engineering, or other technically demanding industries.
