Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large international organisation undergoing significant investment in its cloud and infrastructure platforms. We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing and optimising enterprise-scale cloud environments that support critical business operations running 24/7. This role offers the chance to work within a complex, multi-site environment, helping to shape cloud strategy, improve security posture and drive infrastructure automation while collaborating with operations, security and technical teams across the business. As an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment and ongoing support of cloud infrastructure, ensuring environments remain secure, scalable, highly available and cost-effective. You will contribute to cloud transformation initiatives, implement automation and support business-critical applications and services. Key responsibilities include: Designing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environmentsBuilding highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure platformsImplementing Infrastructure as Code and automation solutionsManaging cloud networking, security, identity and access managementMonitoring system performance, availability and reliabilitySupporting disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planningDriving security improvements and cloud governance initiativesOptimising cloud spend and infrastructure performanceProducing technical documentation, standards and operational proceduresCollaborating with infrastructure, operations and security teams on strategic projects. We are keen to speak with Infrastructure Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Azure Engineers or Platform Engineers who possess: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft AzureExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure environmentsKnowledge of cloud security and governance best practicesExperience with infrastructure automation and scriptingStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of networking principles including DNS, VPNs and virtual networkingExperience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Azure Landing ZonesInfrastructure as CodeFortinet technologiesPowerShell, Python or Bash scriptingAzure Monitor and cloud monitoring toolsMulti-site or international enterprise environments.
