Senior Python Backend and Data Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for experienced Senior Python Backend and Data Engineer to join a long-term international project focused on developing advanced AI applications and multi-agent workflows. You will work as part of the client’s engineering organization and collaborate directly with their technical team on the design and development of production-grade AI and backend systems. This is a hands-on senior engineering position. We are specifically looking for strong backend or data engineers rather than frontend/web developers. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain production-grade applications using PythonBuild backend services, APIs and system integrationsDevelop and integrate AI/LLM-based applications and agentic workflowsWork with multi-agent architectures, including ReAct/loop-based workflowsBuild solutions using LangChain, LangGraph and related technologiesDesign and maintain data processing workflows and pipelinesIntegrate LLMs, external APIs, databases and other tools into AI-driven applicationsDeploy and operate applications in GCP and/or AWSCollaborate directly with senior engineers, architects and other members of the client’s technical teamParticipate in architecture and technical design decisionsWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested production codeRequirementsSenior-level software engineering experienceExcellent knowledge of PythonStrong background in backend engineering and/or data engineeringProven experience developing production applicationsExperience with APIs, microservices, databases and distributed systemsExperience with GCP and/or AWSAbility to design and implement complex systems independentlyStrong problem-solving and software architecture skillsProfessional working proficiency in EnglishHighly DesirableHands-on experience with one or more of the following: LangChainLangGraphLLM application developmentAI agents and multi-agent systemsReAct and agent-loop architecturesTool calling and agent orchestrationRAG architecturesVector databasesProduction deployment of AI/LLM applicationsEngagementFull-time engagementLong-term projectRemoteDirect collaboration with the client’s engineering teamSenior engineers onlyAvailability to start soon is preferred If you are a strong Python engineer with a backend or data engineering background and hands-on experience building modern AI/LLM applications, we would like to hear from you.
