Description

For one of our clients in we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Backend Integration Engineer. In this role, you will work on the development and expansion of e-commerce platform integrations within an existing product and engineering team. A key focus of this assignment is building integrations with Shopify, so hands-on experience with developing Shopify applications or integrations is important. You will take ownership of technical implementations and contribute to the full development process, from technical design through production delivery. Responsibilities Design and develop integrations between an internal checkout platform and Shopify.Contribute to integrations with additional e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce and Magento.Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and/or Java with Spring Boot.Work within a distributed microservices architecture and integrate with internal and external APIs.Translate Shopify platform capabilities, APIs, webhooks and checkout flows into robust integration solutions.Collaborate with engineers, product managers and other stakeholders to define and deliver integration requirements.Contribute to technical design decisions and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and production-ready.Troubleshoot integration issues across multiple services, merchant platforms and third-party APIs.Support the testing, rollout and production adoption of new integrations. Profile At least 3 years of professional experience with Kotlin and/or Java.Strong experience with Spring Boot and building backend services.Good knowledge of microservices and distributed system architectures.Proven hands-on experience developing Shopify applications or integrations, including working with Shopify APIs and webhooks.Experience within the e-commerce and/or payments domain is a strong plus.Experience with WooCommerce and/or Magento is a plus.Experience with React and TypeScript is a strong plus.Knowledge of PHP is a plus.
