Job Description As medior IT engineer, you will work in a new, multidisciplinary team focused on the development and administration of our new research compute cluster for the analysis of complex biological data. Together with the senior IT engineer, you will build, test, and optimize the compute infrastructure. Your focus is on building and managing an HPC environment with significant CPU and GPU capacity and the possibility to upscale to Cloud environments. You will grow step-by-step in your role under the guidance of experienced colleagues. Your Daily Activities Include Participation in the development and optimization of the HPC cluster.Monitoring, logging, and documentation to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.Collaborate with the senior IT engineer, researchers, and the Product Owner to realize new features.Optimization of the compute cluster, workloads, and storage for speed, efficiency, and cost control.Maintaining cluster (SLURM), servers, storage and virtual machines.Answering user questions and troubleshooting.Setting up and giving courses on HPC usage to scientists based on best practices.
