As a Full Stack Developer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
Work on an agile development teamApplication stack includes (among other things) Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, and Cockroach DBSmall portion of UI with ReactJS and other toolsTypically follows all day pairing (for everything – coding, meetings, analysis and documentation) and rotates pairs every dayDevelopment process begins with Acceptance Test Driven DevelopmentBuild high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systemsBuild the simplest possible thing that will continually deliver working software to customersService development, REST, HTTP, Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, Cockroach DB, JSON, XMLPrioritize, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver resultsTDD, paired programming, code reviews, and aggressive refactoringWork with open source software and tools (e.g.
Spring, Apache, Tomcat, GitHub, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Qualifications
Knowledge of modern deployment, CI/CD, and configuration management toolsAbility and aptitude to dig into and solve challenging problems and proactively avoid problemsExperience in building web UI with ReactJS, or other JavaScript frameworksScripting, automation, and troubleshooting of processes and systems; scripting in the shell and at least one of the following: Ruby, Perl, or PythonNetworks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure componentsCourage to communicate in an honest and direct mannerWilling to accept decisions that depart from your opinionAble to draft user stories and acceptance criteriaEnthusiastic and self-motivatedExcellent organizational skills
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 or the hourly equivalent.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
