This role will have a Hybrid Work from Home schedule.
The candidate would need to live in Texas near one of our Texas locations in Dallas or Fort Worth or Austin or Houston or San Antonio and will be required to travel to the Frost San Antonio (One Frost Corporate Campus) office 2 to 3 times per month.

Who You Are
As a Software Engineer II - Enterprise Payments at Frost, you are our code guru, not only configuring the systems but understanding the why’s behind them.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions for assigned applications across the organization.

Design, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modulesCollaborate with project teams and other Software Engineers to provide technical supportSupport assigned IT systems/applications by troubleshooting and resolving defectsAlways take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomesWhat You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated ability to independently identify program issues and develop the appropriate solution, typically requiring at least 2 years of experienceStrong understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with programmingDemonstrated experience with Java and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, etc.)Experienced in developing integration, middleware, RESTful services, and/or APIsStrong debugging and problem-solving skills in APIs, web services, and java-based applicationsSolid experience working in a Linux and/or IBM AIX environmentRelevant experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similarStrong troubleshooting skills across application and system layersEffective written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud, microservices, Spring Boot, and APIsKnowledge of container frameworks like OpenShift, Docker, or KubernetesKnowledge on CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or similarWorking experience with event driven/messaging frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQUnderstanding of microservice architecture in JavaOur Benefits
