Principal Consultant (.NET/C#, AWS, Terraform)

- Hybrid Working, 3 days in the CBD - $1250 a day, 6 months initial contract (Multi Year Engagement) We are partnering with a large technology organisation looking for a Principal Engineer to join a highly technical engineering team delivering and evolving a complex cloud-native platform. This is a hands on Principal level engineering role requiring deep .NET/C# development, AWS and Terraform expertise. A key focus of the engagement will be supporting the integration of Amazon Bedrock capabilities into the existing DevOps-hosted platform. Previous Bedrock experience is highly regarded but not mandatory — strong AWS engineering fundamentals and the ability to rapidly understand and implement new AWS services are more important. The Role You will join an established AWS engineering environment, working across complex APIs and microservices while helping evolve the platform to support new AI capabilities. You will: Design, build and deploy production-grade .NET/C# applications and APIs Develop and enhance AWS Lambda-based microservices Work across containerised workloads running on Amazon EKS Help design and implement Amazon Bedrock into the existing platform Build and maintain sophisticated Terraform infrastructure Design reusable Terraform modules supporting multiple microservices and environments Make key decisions around application architecture, scalability, reliability and performance Lead technical discussions and provide engineering direction across the team Rapidly understand a complex existing API and microservices landscape and begin contributing meaningful production code Balance security, governance and regulatory requirements with speed of delivery Remain highly hands on while operating as a senior technical leader Core Technical Experience Strong depth across: C# / .NET / .NET Core Modern .NET application and API architecture Terraform - advanced level Dependency Injection and lifecycle management REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures AWS Lambda / serverless engineering Amazon EKS / Kubernetes Reusable Terraform module design and Infrastructure-as-Code patterns CI/CD and automated cloud deployments Cloud native architecture, scalability, observability and resilience Highly Regarded Amazon Bedrock / Generative AI Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise platforms AWS AI services and associated security patterns Approach an unfamiliar and highly complex API/microservices environment For more information please apply and the team can get you booked in for a discussion ASAP
