About the RoleRaaS Tech is seeking a highly capable Robotics & Cloud Technology Engineer to support the development, integration and commercialisation of our AI-powered healthcare robotics platform.
This is a hands-on technical role combining software development, AWS cloud architecture, robotics technology, AI integration, IoT connectivity and healthcare technology.
The successful candidate will work across both the physical robot platform and the cloud/software ecosystem that supports remote healthcare, telehealth, connected medical devices and future AI-enabled services.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test and maintain software supporting our healthcare robotics platform.Design and manage scalable AWS cloud architecture and infrastructure.Develop APIs and backend services connecting robots, mobile applications, web platforms and third-party healthcare systems.Integrate robotics hardware, sensors, cameras, microphones, displays and peripheral devices.Develop secure IoT communication architecture between robots, cloud infrastructure and external devices.Work with robot operating systems, embedded systems and robotics SDKs/APIs.Support autonomous navigation, mapping, obstacle avoidance and sensor integration.Integrate AI technologies including conversational AI, computer vision, voice interaction and intelligent automation.Develop systems for remote patient monitoring and real-time health data transmission.Support telehealth and video communication integration.Build secure data storage, processing and analytics architecture within AWS.Implement cybersecurity, authentication, encryption and access-control requirements.Develop monitoring, logging, diagnostics and remote device-management capabilities.Establish CI/CD pipelines, version control and structured software deployment processes.Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity and integration issues.Work directly with international robotics manufacturers and technology partners.Review technical documentation, SDKs, APIs and system architecture supplied by technology partners.Assist with localisation and adaptation of overseas robotics technology for the Australian and international markets.Maintain detailed technical documentation covering architecture, integrations, APIs and development processes.Support prototype development, testing, demonstrations and future commercial deployments.Technical SkillsThe ideal candidate will have experience across several of the following areas:

Robotics ROS / ROS2, robotics SDK/API integration, LiDAR, SLAM and mapping, autonomous navigation, computer vision, camera and sensor integration, embedded systems, edge computing, hardware/software integration
AI & Connected Technology AI/LLM API integration, conversational AI, speech recognition and text-to-speech, computer vision, IoT architecture, real-time communications, telehealth integration, connected medical devices, remote monitoring systems

The role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, experimenting with new technologies and helping transform early-stage technology into a scalable commercial platform.
As RaaS Tech expands, this position has the potential to develop into a senior technical leadership role overseeing the architecture and development of our robotics and connected healthcare technology ecosystem.
