Description

We welcome applications from candidates across Poland, as this role is primarily based on international project assignments and not tied to a specific local office location. A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you will ensure the seamless and timely commissioning of HVDC systems on site, while executing and documenting advanced testing activities for Control & Protection hardware and software. You will also prepare test procedures, coordinate factory and workshop tests with suppliers, and support quality, risk, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. How You’ll Make An Impact Ensure technically flawless and timely commissioning of HVDC systems on site, including testing of HV primary components and associated secondary systems.Perform integration and functional testing of HVDC control technology (Control & Protection hardware and software) in our test center in Germany.Execute and document Functional Performance Tests (FPT), Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of our C&P Hardware and Software including Customer Acceptance Tests.Develop and prepare detailed testing procedures and test programs for the C&P Hardware, including the necessary verification documentation.Plan, coordinate, and evaluate workshop tests (Factory Acceptance Tests) at sub-supplier facilities.Support Commissioning Management in quality, risk, and claim management activities, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, reviews, lessons learned). What You Bring Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable education / qualification; ideally combined with practical experience in electrical engineering and commissioning of electrical power stations.Solid knowledge in one or more of the following areas: project planning and testing via MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC, grid protection systems / protection relays & BCUs (DIGSI / SIPROTEC V4/5)Knowledge or experience in the field of HVDC systems, particularly in High Voltage Transmission Technology, Control, Measurement, Protection, and Communication SystemsUnderstanding of Current- and Voltage Measuring devices and other primary equipment as well as network protection, C&P systems and other secondary systemsFluency in English, additional languages are a plusWillingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms About The Team Our Grid Technologies division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
