Position Responsibilities
Builds, codes, tests, maintain high quality softwareManaging the full Software Delivery Lifecycle including coding, testing, deployment, and support, in a DevOps environmentTranslates user requirements into software requirementsDesigns, develops, tests, delivers, maintains and improves business applications as a member of a team, works across full-stack through entire software development lifecycle.
Process the ability to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods to the teamCollaborate attitude and demonstrate empathy and generosity towards business stakeholders, product managers, software engineers, and operations engineers to uncover pain pointsGood organizational and problem- solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion; constantly learn from both success and failureGood verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full stack software development, with experience of leading a team of Software Engineers is an advantage.Proficiency in Angular, Node.js/React, Azure DB, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, Java (Spring Boot), AKS & Azure cloud services, Even Grid, IBM iSeries (AS400) architecture and COBOL/CLExperience with DevOps, RESTful APIs, API versioning, authentication/authorization.Experience with CI/CD pipeline and tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.Experience with Azure Service Bus, Rocket MQ, Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of Ali cloud, ACK and PolarDB for PostgreSQL/PolarDB for Oracle/SQL Server, mongo database and redis are an advantageVersion control, performance optimization and coding standard processesExperiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next.Experience in the insurance industry, specifically with Group Life and Health applicationsUnderstanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the insurance sectorNeed to have production support during non-office hoursCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood command of English and Chinese, both spoken and writtenAble to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
