Description

A Note from the CTO Hello, I'm Eidmantas, the CTO at HyperOps. We are expanding our core team as we scale our Platform Engineering model. This job is currently available for those located in Lithuania. To support the next generation of our growth, I am looking for a highly motivated individual to join our L3 Engineering team to help us provide L2/L3 technical support, while also growing and contributing to our engineering base as they level up. What You’ll Do L2/L3 Tech Support & Incident Management: Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure issues across a massive stack—VMs, Kubernetes, bare-metal servers, storage clusters, networking, Linux, and Windows environments. You will participate in incident management, identify root causes, and implement proper alert suppression.Automate & Build Tooling: We don't just close tickets. You will use AI tooling and write code (Python, Go, or Bash) to build internal tools and automate repetitive tasks. When you identify a recurring issue, your job is to write the procedures and the code so it doesn't happen again.L3 Engineering & Growth: Participate in deploying and maintaining our new private cloud and GitOps infrastructure. As you grow, your focus will naturally shift more toward architecture and automation, and less toward manual support. We are looking forward to helping people grow and pivot from maintenance to implementation and architecture. What We’re Looking For We don't expect you to know everything, but we do expect a strong troubleshooter's mindset and zero ego. The Ops Foundation: You know your way around a Linux terminal and have worked with different operating systems. You clearly understand basic IT principles like DNS, networking, compute, and storage. The Dev Spark: You can code. You have developed self-study applications or projects (with or without the help of AI). You understand how systems are built, and you know what APIs, classes, and standard data structures are.The Mindset & Background: You have studied IT, are currently studying it in university, OR you want to change careers and already have a good 6–12 months of serious, full-time self-studying under your belt. You probably have a home lab, rent a VPS, or love digging into logs to find out why a system crashed. What We Offer Salary Range: €1800 - €3000 Gross / month.Complex, Interesting Work: You will tackle complex infrastructure challenges and build scalable solutions from the ground up, rapidly leveling up your career in the process.Engineering First: You will work directly with technical leadership to define our standards. No corporate red tape.Flexibility: We prioritize engineering output and system reliability over seat time. We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid environment. Fully remote arrangements (with occasional in-office days for critical events) are available upon request after the probation period.Wellbeing & Security: Health insurance, office parking and an annual bonus program for engineers who have been with us for over a year.
