This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps) based in United States. This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on building and operating reliable cloud-based development and production environments. You’ll own critical systems across application build, testing, deployment, and production infrastructure within a lean, collaborative engineering team. The role combines DevOps, cloud engineering, automation, and software development, with significant autonomy and direct ownership. You’ll help create a robust “you build it, you run it” platform that enables engineers to ship and operate software efficiently. Your work will span technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, Docker, and modern CI/CD and GitOps practices. You’ll also play a key role in incident response, root-cause analysis, reliability improvements, and reducing manual operational work. This is an ideal environment for a technically curious generalist who thrives on solving complex problems and improving systems continuously. Accountabilities Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and systems supporting application development, testing, deployment, and production operations.Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Vault, and containerized environments.Develop software and infrastructure automation that improves platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.Partner closely with software engineers to create a robust “you build it, you run it” engineering model supported by reliable infrastructure and tooling.Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based configuration and automated build, test, and deployment workflows.Build and manage Docker/OCI container images and their deployment into Kubernetes environments.Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority production incidents, coordinating with engineering teams and driving issues through to permanent resolution.Facilitate postmortems and conduct root-cause analysis to identify systemic improvements and prevent recurring incidents.Continuously evaluate architecture, infrastructure performance, stability, developer experience, and operational processes.Automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual maintenance to create more scalable and resilient infrastructure.Contribute to engineering best practices around testing, code reviews, deployment processes, GitOps, and resilient architecture.Take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure initiatives, from architecture and implementation through ongoing support and optimization. Requirements 3+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, fintech, SaaS, or a similar technology environment, with demonstrated ownership of build and deployment infrastructure.Proven experience working within a small, collaborative engineering team where you can independently own projects and operational responsibilities.Strong understanding of YAML-based CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or comparable platforms.Hands-on experience building and deploying Docker/OCI container images to Kubernetes environments.Practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure/security tooling such as Vault.Ability to program or script in a language such as Ruby, Go, or Elixir; familiarity with Elixir is a plus.Solid understanding of modern software development and testing practices, including CI/CD and GitOps approaches.Knowledge of engineering best practices covering automated testing, peer code reviews, observability, reliability, and resilient architecture.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to diagnosing root causes and resolving incidents.Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical requirements.Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and accountability, with the ability to manage priorities without close supervision.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and balancing independent work with hands-on support for engineering teammates.Startup or high-growth technology experience is a plus.
