As an Embedded Software Engineer at Visual Productions BV, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our embedded systems. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable, efficient, and high-performance firmware that powers our innovative products. You will work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other software engineers to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement embedded software for our lighting controllersCollaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specificationsWrite clean, well-documented, and efficient code for various embedded platformsConduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure quality and reliabilityOptimize system performance and memory usage to meet stringent requirementsStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the embedded domainParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code qualityWork closely with the tech-support team to support software testing and resolve any issuesEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development Requirements: Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in embedded software development, preferably C/C++ & ARM-CortexSolid understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)Experience with hardware-software integration and debuggingFamiliarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, etcKnowledge of low-level hardware interfaces and peripheralsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience with version control systems (e.g., GIT) and Agile development methodologies is a plusProficient in English (Dutch is not required)Living in the Netherlands or within the EU and willing to relocate Our offer: Full-time jobin-house position, Based in Haarlem, NLAn international working environment (English is the team's language)Competitive salary, depending on experiencePension plan8 % holiday pay25 holidaysTravel costs covered
